With reference to the article published on “Giornale di Lecco” in the September 1, 2014, the three
Moto Clubs of Mandello feeling called into question, altogether keen to point out the following.
The G.M.G. "Guzzi World Days" have always been organized by the Moto Guzzi Company and
NEVER by the local Moto Clubs or associations of the territory.
In 2013 the 3 Moto Clubs, in an exceptional case and on "request" of the city council, organized the
event called "Mandello del Lario città della Moto Guzzi", as Moto Guzzi Company had not
expressed its intention to organize the event.
At the start of the organization of the event, under the coordination of the 3 Moto Clubs, Moto
Guzzi Company officially announced for the same weekend the official “open house” of the
factory.
We wish to clarify that in an IMPERATIVE way, that for the organization of the event of last year,
Moto Clubs organizers, did not have any support logistical or economical by Moto Guzzi Company
except some banners from the Guzzi World Club.
Nevertheless, on some of the international media, appared that the success of the event was
attributable to the Moto Guzzi Company and never, organizers Clubs, have been mentioned.
Regarding this year, till now, Moto Guzzi Company has not officially put any request to any of our
Clubs for a collaboration to this year.
For this reason we would send back to the sender Mr. Torresan regarding what he says in the article
which attributed the cause of event failure to a disagreement between the Clubs.
The responsibility of cancellation have to be found exclusively in the management of Moto Guzzi
Company.
