MAINOS: We all enjoy italian bikes and probably Laverda. A friend is just finishing a new book about Laverda, a very deep work of history of the Laverda motorcycle period. To write it down, he got contacts with people like the famous Alan Cathcart, business man Jack McCormack, engineer Franz Laimboeck, most of the Laverda pilots Brettoni, Gallina, Fougeray and obviously with Piero & Massimo Laverda.

The book will be in french but also in english.

The english translation will be made by the professional translator Christiane Weissbach (who crossed Australia on a Laverda 1000 in 2003 !).

The book will be edited in mid 2006 by the french ETAI editor including all international rights. To print the english version, the publisher asks the author to provide a list of 500 pre-orders.

This is why I forward this message, to get this book an english edition as quick as possible because I guess it really worth it. So please speak about it to your friends and if you also enjoy Laverda, please contact the author Jean-Louis OLIVE at sfcl@wanadoo.fr
